Not often I’ll give 5 stars – a venue, menu and experience must truly be exceptional for me to go all the way. That said, I also acknowledge that it must be so infuriating for restaurants to read reviews by the ordinary public, as if we are qualified to talk with an educated tone about the skills of the team, the quality of the food, and the economics of the menu pricing.
99 Sushi Bar is not cheap, therefore it is in my mind to be treated as an indulgence, with the necessary expectations that go along with that.
From our experience, 99 Sushi Bar more than delivers. It is truly worthy both of gushing reviews and the price that is charged for the eye-catching, mouth-watering menu.
We enjoyed the tasting menu, which has options to pair with wine, or to simply enjoy the food. Each dish was exquisitely presented, and not one single dish had we encountered before – 99 Sushi’s chefs have added a unique element, twist or take, serving up a menu you will find nowhere else, I am certain.
I highly recommend that when enjoying eat bite, that you savor the flavors, the textures, the temperatures, and pause before starting the next piece, so that you fully appreciate what the chef has served you – and what you are paying for.
The evening cost us around AED 1,400 for the two of us – but here’s the truth – you pay that happily for the world-class service, setting and high-quality food set before you.

Absolutely. This is one of those experiences that create wonderful, sentimental memories.
Food is good, but pricey. Service could be more/ better synchronised. Alcohol is served there.
